About J.
J. Isaac “Ike” Funderburk has lived and practiced law in Abbeville for over fifty years. He earned a BA from Louisiana Tech and a Juris Doctorate from LSU Law School. He is a Louisiana State Bar Association member and licensed to practice in all Louisiana courts, as well as the U.S Western and Middle District Federal Courts for the State of Louisiana, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, and the United States Supreme Court. He has served as a staff attorney for District Attorney Nathan Stansbury, a Special Assistant District Attorney, Abbeville City Attorney for approximately eighteen years, and general counsel to Sheriffs Ray LeMaire and Mike Couvillon for a combined thirty-three years.
