About James
James A. Murphy is a Partner and litigation/appellate attorney with expertise in commercial, municipal, zoning, and personal injury law. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Knox College and his Juris Doctor with honors from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. Admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1987, he is also a member of the trial bar for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit. Jim is recognized as a Leading Lawyer in Commercial Litigation and Civil Appellate Law, and a Super Lawyer in Business Litigation. He is active in the Will County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association, and serves on several community committees.
