James Underwood

On January 31, 2024, attorney James D. Underwood sadly passed away. J.D., as folks called him, joined the firm when he was a law clerk over twenty-five years ago. He became a partner with the firm in 2019. J.D. was born in Harriman, Tennessee and concentrated primarily in the area of insurance litigation-particularly jury and bench trials. J.D. received his B.A. degree from Emory and Henry College and his law degree from St. Thomas University where he was a member of the Moot Court Team. J.D. was a litigator and had participated in over 5,000 P.I.P. and insurance cases (including appeals)....
