About Jeffrey

Jeffrey E. Marion grew up in Tonawanda, New York. He graduated high school from St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute in 1987, and went on to State University of New York College at Geneseo, graduating with two Bachelor’s Degrees in Political Science and English in 1991. In 1994, he obtained his Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University Claude W. Petit College of Law. He was admitted to practice in New York State in March of 1995. After working as a criminal defense attorney and then at Shaw & Shaw, P.C., he founded his own office in 2003. From 2016-2020, he served as a Senior Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of Amherst, where he filed the first lawsuit by a town in New York State against opioid manufacturers and distributors. He is admitted to practice law in New York, Pennsylvania, Colorado, the United States District Court for the Western District of New York, the Supreme Court of the United States, and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans’ Claims. He has over 25 years of experience fighting for injury victims. He is actively involved in several bar associations and committees, including co-chairing the Erie County Bar Association’s High School Mock Trial Competition and its Committee on Veterans’ and Servicemembers’ Legal Issues. He is also a Past Chair of the American Association for Justice’s Committee for the Disabled and currently serves as Vice-Chair of its Section Leaders’ Council and Co-Chair of the Opioids Litigation Group. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He frequently lectures on topics such as Veterans’ Disability Law, focus groups, and juror persuasion.
