About Joanna
Joanna Bryn Smith, Esq. began her career representing indigent defendants at Rikers Island prison and Main Street Legal Services in New York City. She served as a judicial law clerk in Northern New Jersey, and then as a Conflict Council attorney and public defender in Luzerne and Columbia Counties, handling criminal matters and arguing before Pennsylvania State and Supreme Courts. She also provided pro bono services for domestic violence victims. Joanna is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University and City University of New York, and is actively involved with non-profit organizations and serves on the Luzerne County Council.
