About John

John A. Tinney has been practicing law since 1974 and has over four decades of experience serving clients in federal and state court. He is currently the City Attorney of Roanoke and the County Attorney of Randolph County. He holds leadership positions in the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association and is known as a lawyer's lawyer. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer, included in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Alabama, and received numerous other honors and accolades from his peers, including Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent and National Association Of Distinguished Counsel: Nation's Top One Percent. He was also recognized by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys for 10 Best Client Satisfaction in 2015.
