John D. Schwedler was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on April 26, 1946. He graduated from the University of Detroit with a Bachelor Degree in 1968. He was a school teacher from 1968 to 1976. He then graduated cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School with a Juris Doctor Degree in 1979. He was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1979. He is licensed to practice in all courts in Michigan and the United States District Court-Eastern District of Michigan.
