About Jonathan
Jon Dodd has been an attorney with a sole focus on representing injured individuals since 2000. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, in 1996, with a B.S. in Economics. Jon obtained his law degree from George Washington University Law School, in Washington, D.C., in 2000. He represents plaintiffs in personal injury cases across Connecticut, resolving cases via mediation, arbitration, and jury verdicts. Jon has argued appeals before the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Connecticut Supreme Court. He successfully appealed an Appellate Court decision that had denied workers’ compensation benefits to volunteer firefighters, gaining recognition from the Connecticut Supreme Court that injuries sustained while repairing the firehouse roof were compensable under the Workers’ Compensation Act. In another case, he successfully argued before the Connecticut Supreme Court that a new law allowing municipalities to assert a lien on personal injury settlement proceeds did not apply retroactively, and therefore did not apply to his client’s settlement.
