Joseph P. Nichols was born in Norwood, New York. He was admitted to the bar in 1983. He was a former member of the Library Board in Malone, a Committee Chairperson for Troop 61 Boy Scouts, and a Finance Committee member of the Diocese of Ogdensburg and Past President of the Franklin County Bar Association.
