About Kim

Kim Benjamin is the Founding Attorney & CEO of The Benjamin Law Firm, LLC. She has been practicing since 1997, starting as a public defender in Kansas City, Missouri. She is recognized as an expert DWI and criminal defense lawyer and a spectacular trial lawyer, having handled over 70 jury trials. Kim is a faculty member at the Trial Lawyers College (TLC) and the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD), and chairs the Bernard Edelman DWI Law & Science Seminar. She has received numerous awards including the Atticus Finch Award, the Women’s Justice Award for litigation, and has been named a SuperLawyer in 2020 and 2021, and Client's Choice Award by Avvo. She is a lifetime member of MACDL, a Fellow of the Bar with KCMBA, a board member of the Cass County Bar Association, and served as President of MACDL in 2013-14. She was also appointed to the Missouri Ethics Commission. Kim holds two bachelor's degrees from the University of Missouri at Columbia and a Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School.
