M. Tindall Cowan graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law and was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2024. Tindall has experience in criminal defense, domestic legal matters (including divorces, legitimations, and child custody issues), juvenile legal matters, estate planning, and general civil litigation. She is the Public Defender for the City of Elberton and the Solicitor for Taliaferro County Probate Court. Tindall is an Adjunct Professor of Social Sciences, teaching pre-law classes, at Emmanuel University. In her undergraduate studies, she assisted in genetic research in the Plant Biology Department and obtained her Bachelor of Science. She has also served in the United States Army Reserves for nearly 6 years and currently holds the rank of Captain as a Battalion Human Resources officer. She recently returned from her first deployment to Europe.
