Maria is a proud native of Charlotte, North Carolina, and an alumna of Queens University of Charlotte, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She further pursued her passion for the law by attending law school in North Carolina, where her enthusiasm for the legal field truly flourished.
