About Mark
Mark Matney focuses on defending against criminal charges, especially reckless driving and DUI defense. He earned his B.A. in International Studies from The American University and his law degree from William & Mary Law School in 1992. He also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Evangel Theological Seminary (2005). He is a 2025 Top Lawyer of Coastal Virginia, a 2025 Three Best Rated Newport News DUI Lawyer, and a Virginia Super Lawyer. He has trained with the National College for DUI Defense and the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, and served as an adjunct professor at William & Mary’s law school.
