About Mark

Mark McDaniel is a Member attorney who served as Attorney for Alabama Governor Guy Hunt and Legal Counsel to National, State, and Local Officials. He was a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alabama and is a member of the NASA Advisory Council, having received the NASA Public Service Medal. He served as Special Advisor to Congressmen Bart Gordon and Lincoln Davis, and as Special Criminal Justice Advisor to Madison County Commission Chairman Dale Strong. He is a Board Member for the Alabama Health Care Coordinating Council and the Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority. He chaired Congressman Bud Cramer’s Educator/Industry Roundtable and is on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Tennessee Valley Corridor Commission. He was recognized as a 1993 Athens State College Distinguished Alumni and has been a Commencement Speaker at Athens State College, Birmingham School of Law, and Faulkner University-Jones School of Law. He is an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Alabama-Huntsville and Faulkner University, receiving Outstanding Teacher Awards from the University of Alabama-Huntsville in 2009-2010 and 2016-2017. He has served as a Faculty Member for the Alabama Bar Institute for Continuing Legal Education - Criminal Law and is a Past President of the Criminal Law Section of the Alabama State Bar Association. He was a Part Owner of the Huntsville Stars baseball team, is inducted into the Huntsville-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame, and is a member of MENSA.
