Matthew M. Breen is the managing partner of Lowcountry Law, LLC, which he founded with the aim of pursuing his clients' best possible outcomes. A graduate of The Citadel and Charleston School of Law, he is a 14th-generation Charlestonian and comes from a long line of lawyers. He is admitted to practice in South Carolina, North Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. Attorney Breen has secured multiple six-figure settlements and a jury verdict of $1,203,729.00 for his clients. He has been recognized with numerous awards including Super Lawyers Rising Stars (since 2020), Best Lawyers Ones to Watch (2023), Martindale-Hubbell Platinum Client Champion, and Citadel 2021 Young Alumnus of the Year. Outside of law, he is an avid genealogist, makes his own Peach Habanero hot sauce, and is involved in several community and historical organizations.
