Matthew D. Zimmelman joined the firm in 2017 after over six years at a busy bankruptcy and foreclosure defense firm on Long Island. With a focus on complex consumer bankruptcy cases, Mr. Zimmelman provides counsel to his clients on debt relief and debt management. He brings extensive experience in Chapter 13 debt reorganizations, Chapter 7 cases for individuals and businesses, drafting and arguing motions, and loan modifications. Mr. Zimmelman is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in Federal Court in both the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He is also a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. When not practicing law, Mr. Zimmelman enjoys spending time with his wife and son, skiing, and cycling, and is an active member of his temple.
