About Michael
Attorney Donlon has focused his entire law practice on consumer advocacy and plaintiff’s personal injury and insurance coverage litigation. Michael prides himself on undertaking cases that change lives or effect a positive change on the law. He is most comfortable in Court where his best work is achieved. Michael is always available to clients, past and present, to address their questions and concerns. Mr. Donlon’s practice is focused on severe injuries or death occurring as a result of construction site accidents, motor vehicle accidents, nursing home neglect, toxic exposure, dangerous products, prescription drug litigation, asbestos litigation, gas line explosions, hunting accidents, dog bites, medical malpractice, and slip and fall accidents. Mr. Donlon also has experience litigating a wide variety of insurance coverage issues arising with collapsed structures, livestock losses, fire loss, bad faith insurance carrier conduct, and spilled/leaked petroleum. Michael has successfully litigated matters before the Supreme Court of the State of New York at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. Before becoming a trial attorney, Mr. Donlon worked as a Journeyman Electrician with the IBEW local union 139 in Elmira, New York. Michael’s prior experience working in the construction industry is a substantial advantage to his clients who have been injured on construction sites. Attorney Donlon has obtained many large recoveries for his clients in this unique area of New York State Labor Law Section 240(1) litigation. Attorney Donlon has obtained some of the largest personal injury recoveries in the region and is a certified lifetime member of The Million Dollar Advocates Forum. A prolific trial lawyer, Michael’s work is featured in the 2019 edition of “What’s it Worth” - a national guide for determining the value of personal injury cases.
