Michael Maher is the Founder of The Maher Law Firm, an esteemed trial attorney and former President of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He began his legal practice in 1965 and has a 43-year career specializing in personal injury and wrongful death litigation. He has been consistently recognized in The Best Lawyers in America since 1987 and was named Florida Trial Lawyer of the Year in 1999 by the American Board of Trial Advocates and Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2000-2001 by the Melvin Belli Society. Mr. Maher played a key role in securing an $11 billion settlement against the tobacco industry for Florida taxpayers.
