Michelle Kelsey graduated from Hamline University with a BA in Legal Studies in 1999 and received her Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law in 2001. After receiving her law license, Michelle worked as a clerk for the Honorable Timothy R. Bloomquist in Kanabec County, MN for a short time before accepting an associate attorney position in Cambridge, MN. Michelle has been practicing in Cambridge, MN, first an associate attorney, then as a partner in a local law firm, since 2002. She was named a Minnesota Super Lawyer "Rising Star" by Minnesota Law and Politics magazine in 2007 and was the president of the 18th district bar association in 2008.
