About Miguel
Miguel Gutierrez believes in standing up for those who feel powerless against the justice system, ensuring their rights are protected and voices heard. He grew up on a ranch outside Floresville, Texas, which instilled in him values of hard work, responsibility, and perseverance. He earned his B.A. in English with an Emphasis in Writing Studies from TAMU-CC and his J.D. from St. Mary's University. During law school, he interned at the 81st District Attorney's Office and criminal defense firms in San Antonio. After passing the BAR exam, he began his career as a prosecutor with the Travis County Attorney's Office, handling a wide variety of cases from speeding tickets to DWIs and assaults. In his free time, he enjoys fishing or reading a good book.
