In the community, Nathan is the president of the St. Joseph Bar Association and has served on the boards of Habitat for Humanity, the Open Door Food Kitchen, and the Arts Council. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell College in 2006 and a Juris Doctorate from UMKC in 2010.
