About Nick
Nick Torres, Esq. is an of counsel of the Firm. He is a business attorney, whose practice focuses on representing entrepreneurs and small to large businesses in aspects of general corporate work, including domestic and international commercial transactions, financings, venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions and overall day-to-day general corporate work, with a focus on China-related business transactions. Nick also has experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. As part of his corporate practice, Nick has assisted emerging companies in successfully completing their initial public offerings on the Nasdaq Capital Markets, including but not limited to Jayud Global Logistics Limited (JYD) and CytoMed Therapeutics Limited (GDTC). Nick has also successfully assisted companies in negotiating the terms of venture capital financings and terms of partnership agreements. Prior to joining us, Nick worked as a foreign legal consultant in a leading firm in Beijing, China and a corporate firm in New York City. Nick earned his juris doctor degree from Emory University School of Law, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief Emory’s Corporate Governance and Accountability Review Journal. He received his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Buffalo University in New York in Political Science. He also studied two years of Mandarin-Chinese at East China Normal University and Beijing International Studies University. Prior to beginning his legal career, Nick worked as an English as a Second Language teacher in Dongtan, South Korea, Shanghai, China, and Sydney, Australia for nearly four years altogether. He served as a guest lecturer at Chinese universities, where he lectured on American jurisprudence.
