About Paul
Paul W. Shonk graduated from Ohio Dominican University with a bachelor's degree in English literature and obtained his law degree, cum laude, from Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2003. After passing the Ohio bar, he worked for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn in New York City, providing non-profit immigration legal services and managing the immigration department from 2008. In 2011, he moved to Cincinnati and joined McKinney & Namei, expanding his practice to include family law, probate, personal injury, and criminal defense. He joined Rodriguez & Porter in 2017 and has developed a successful appellate practice, winning reversals at the Ohio Court of Appeals, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the U.S. District Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit. His practice areas include Immigration (Family, Employment, Removal Defense), Probate, Criminal, Criminal Appeals, Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), Wrongful Death, and Adoption. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
