When looking at qualities in a lawyer, I believe one of the most important and overlooked is the capacity to listen. Listening is the way that we as lawyers understand our clients and their needs; this helps us to connect with them and, ultimately, better serve them. I find this is true with all of my clients, whether they be English- or Spanish-speaking clients.
