About Peter

Peter Gilbert has carried on the Gilbert family tradition of providing principled legal counsel to those in and around Skagit County. He began his career with an internship at the Skagit County Public Defender’s office, then worked as a deputy prosecutor for the Skagit County Prosecuting Attorney’s office from 1999 to 2001. After establishing his own criminal defense practice, he joined Gilbert & Gilbert Lawyers Inc, founded by his grandfather in 1921. He worked with his brother and father, and later became a sole practitioner before his sister Jayne rejoined him in 2011. His practice focuses on Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, and Business Formation.
