Philip E. Weiss graduated cum laude from San Francisco State University and earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was Editor-In-Chief of the U.S.F. Maritime Law Journal. He is a respected author and speaker on maritime law issues, with 20 years of practice representing clients in various maritime issues. He serves as an Adjunct Professor of Maritime Law at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, is a non-voting member of the San Diego Harbor Safety Committee, and chairs the California State Bar Commission on Specialization in Admiralty and Maritime law.
