About Ray
Ray A. Collins, born and raised in Cut Off, Louisiana, graduated from South Lafourche High School in 1975. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (1979) and a Juris Doctorate (1982) from Louisiana State University. After clerking for Judge Walter I. Lanier, Jr. on the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeals, he joined the Law Offices of Steven M. Larussa, specializing in personal injury and insurance defense. He later opened his private practice in Larose, focusing on personal injury, real estate, estate planning, contracts, and corporate law. He serves as an attorney for the South Lafourche Levee District and South Lafourche Bank, and formerly for Lady of the Sea General Hospital and the North Lafourche Conservation Levee and Drainage District. He is also a member of the Lafourche Civil Service Board and has extensive experience in insurance and personal injury mediation, as well as being a trained domestic mediator.
