About Richard

Richard S. Lawson is passionate about intoxicated driving defense. He has devoted his career to defending those wrongly accused of DUI and to ensuring that even in cases where people are guilty of DUI, they are treated fairly. Over the past 30+ years, Attorney Lawson has successfully resolved over 5,000 cases and been lead counsel at the jury trials and motions of hundreds of Georgia DUI cases. He began his career as a DUI prosecutor and was trained as a DUI prosecutor. He is an instructor at the Institute for Continuing Legal Education and has been certified as a DUI standardized field sobriety testing instructor since 2000. He has published numerous works regarding DUI defense.
