Attorney Richard W. Young, a Long Island native, graduated with honors from Long Island University, C.W. Post College. He served as an officer in the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department, receiving the Jack P. Finnerty Award for Academic Excellence, and later as a highly decorated New York City Police officer and sergeant. After retiring due to injury in 1988, he attended St. John's School and was admitted to practice law in New York State. With over 25 years of legal experience, he founded his firm and has successfully handled thousands of legal matters. He is admitted to practice in Federal Court, Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. His background as a retired NYPD Sergeant provides a unique insight into the justice system.
