About Rick

Rick Reed was born and raised in Belleville, Illinois. He graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a B.A. in History and an M.S. in Education Administration. He received his law degree from St. Louis University School of Law. He opened his first law office in Belleville, Illinois, and has since expanded it to eight locations. For over thirty years, he authored 'The Law and You,' a weekly column. He was selected as the best St. Clair County Attorney in a Suburban Journal Readers’ poll and received a Readers’ Choice Award in 2019.
