Roger Edward “Ed” Henderson, Jr. is a trial attorney and litigator at Temple & Hogsette. His practice areas include personal injury, workers’ compensation, and insurance bad faith litigation. He was born in Chesterfield, South Carolina. After earning degrees from Wofford College and the University of South Carolina School of Law, he began his career at a Bennettsville law firm, focusing on personal injury and criminal defense. He served as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Paul M. Burch, then served four years active duty in the United States Marine Corps. Post-military, he joined a large multi-state civil defense firm, then practiced civil litigation and criminal defense in Florence. In 2023, he joined Hatfield Temple. He also serves as a Judge Advocate in the South Carolina Army National Guard. His experience defending insurance companies gives him insight into how they evaluate claims. His practice focuses on catastrophic injury claims, including wrecks involving tractor-trailers, commercial vehicles, automobiles and motorcycles, premises liability claims, nursing home neglect/abuse, defective products, animal attacks, insurance bad faith, and workers compensation.
