My family has been in Northwest Georgia since the 1830s, so I grew up taking a lot of pride in the area and wanting to see it thrive. In law school, I received awards for legal writing, trial skills, and was accepted into the Weltner Family Law Inn of Court. After law school, I clerked for Chief Judge William Boyett in the Conasauga Circuit, where I got to really dig into issues in our local trial courts from the Court’s perspective.
