About Sean
Sean Hardy is a litigation associate in the Complex Litigation and Class Action Department at The Sentinel Firm. With a focus on prosecuting complex wage-and-hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act ("PAGA") representative actions, Mr. Hardy is committed to defending and upholding the rights of employees across various industries in both state and federal court. Mr. Hardy takes pride in his position as an advocate for people who have been mistreated by their employers. During his career, he secured a win for his clients in a published opinion issued by the California Court of Appeals-2nd District, Gamboa v. Northeast Community Clinic (2021) 72 Cal. App. 5th. Mr. Hardy represented the plaintiff, Hope Gamboa, who was fired from her job as a scanner after requesting a reasonable accommodation for a hand injury she suffered while working for Northeast Community Clinic. She filed a lawsuit against the Clinic, but the Clinic tried to dismiss the lawsuit and force her to arbitrate the dispute instead. The Clinic failed to produce sufficient evidence that Hope had signed a binding arbitration agreement during the onboarding process. The court ultimately agreed with Hope and disagreed with the Clinic. Because of Mr. Hardy's work and dedication to workers' rights, Hope did not have to resolve the dispute with her employer in arbitration.
