Shelley Payne

About Shelley

Shelley Payne grew up in Effingham County, Georgia, and initially planned to be a teacher. An early job with the superior court sparked her interest in law, leading her to become a paralegal and later an attorney. She worked as a paralegal from 2003 to 2020 before enrolling at Charleston School of Law, graduating with her JD in 2020. She joined Litner + Deganian, drawn by their values of community service, client-centered communications, and a fun working environment. She is a Savannah mom of four, volunteers with her children's school and sports teams, and competes in 5K and half marathons.
