Steve L. Pier received his undergraduate degree from South Dakota State University in 1975 and his Juris Doctor in 1981 from the University of South Dakota. He has practiced law in Yankton since 1983, taking over an active litigation and estate planning practice. He served as Yankton County Deputy State Attorney from 1985-1990 and as the attorney for the City of Hartington, Nebraska since 2006.
