
About Terry
Terry Ridley (1956-2012) was a founding partner at Hunt, Hamlin & Ridley, which he helped establish in 1995 and grow into the largest black-owned law firm in New Jersey. He held a BS from the University of Vermont (1979) and a Master’s from Virginia Commonwealth University (1981), and earned his JD from Rutgers Law School. Admitted to the New Jersey Bar, his career included roles as an Assistant Prosecutor and Senior Associate with the Newark Housing Authority. At HHR, he secured significant jury verdicts and settlements, including $3.9 million in a breach of contract case. He was a member of various bar associations, including the American Bar Association and NJ State Bar Associations.
