About Thomas

Thomas D. Downey is a partner at PSRB, specializing in employment, disability, workers' compensation, labor law, and Social Security Administration law. A proud U.S. Army veteran, he previously served five years of active-duty service. His unique perspective comes from his experience as a claims manager for a municipality with over 7,000 employees, where he managed workers' compensation claims and supervised indemnification programs for police and firefighters. He graduated from Norwich University, holds an MBA from Western New England College, and a Juris Doctor from Western New England College School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts state courts, before the Social Security Administration, and the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents. He is a member of the Hampden County Bar Association.
