About Tom
Attorney Thomas M. McNamara prides himself on representing the interests of people who are injured through no fault of their own. He and our staff at McNamara & Goodman see, hear, and value our clients and tirelessly stand up for what they deserve. He concentrates his practice on representing injured people, with a goal of going to trial if the case doesn’t settle for an adequate amount for his client. He also represents victims of sexual abuse against the clergy and other perpetrators and has lectured on the subject for the Connecticut Bar Association and Middlesex County Bar Association. He has handled sexual abuse cases in all three Connecticut Catholic Dioceses against many members of the clergy. His experience has led him to provide testimony on the benefits of full publicity and transparency in sexual abuse litigation. In a malicious prosecution claim against a plaintiff’s lawyer, he was hired as an expert witness to opine that the attorneys representing a sexual assault plaintiff had probable cause to prosecute a civil lawsuit against the defendant in the underlying case.
