William Carlan is a lawyer and Cherokee County native. He earned a Political Science B.S. from the University of Georgia and is a graduate of the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, beginning his practice in 2009. He is an Eagle Scout and has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the Cherokee Arts Board, Main Street Board in Canton, and the Drug and Alcohol Accountability Court Steering Committee. He served seven years as a magistrate judge for Cherokee County and was elected twice to the Canton City Council.
