Stryker Corporation recalled two hip implant systems (Rejuvenate and ABG II) in 2012 due to metallic debris causing neurological and heart problems, and damage to organs. Approximately 3,000 plaintiffs who had the defective devices implanted and who also had the devices removed entered into a settlement with Stryker.
