Bed bug class action against the owner and manager of Walnut Court which is an apartment complex located in Waterloo, Iowa. Case involved a bed bug infestation which worsened over time due to the owner’s attempt at self treating for bed bugs rather than employing pest control - even though the complex used a licensed pest control professional for general pest control. The complex now employs a licensed pest management professional for bed bug management and control. The case resolved for the complex’s insurance policy limits of $1,000,000. Our firm worked with Shane Michael of Michael Law Firm and Ben Arato of Wandro, Kane and Lalor as co counsel. The settlement is projected to finalize in late 2025 after preliminary approval and the notice period has expired.
