Client was a front-seat passenger in a car struck from behind while waiting at a stop light. She sustained injuries to her neck, back and left shoulder. She was required to undergo a rotator cuff repair surgery. Following surgery, she was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder. She was required to leave her job as a registered nurse. Experts were retained to evaluate the client’s lost future earnings. Defendants argued that the lack of property damage could not possibly have caused her shoulder injury. The case was resolved by mediation with a former judge.
