Our client would occasionally care for a Chihuahua owned by a family she met in a local Facebook group. One evening, our client was asked to care for the dog and was instructed by the dog owners to carry the dog down the stairs to go outside. While walking down the stairs with the dog in her arms, our client tripped which startled the dog and resulted in the dog biting a chunk of her lip off. Our client required surgery and suffered permanent scarring.
