Case Details
The insurance company initially denied payment to our client, a 49 year old woman seriously injured in an Arizona collision. The issue was complex: whether a separate policy (covering a Virginia auto) would apply to cover the injuries. As a delay tactic, the insurance company even attempted to transfer the case to Arizona. We took the case to trial in Virginia and won. Additionally, the judge found that the company's attempt to transfer matters out of state was a bad faith delay tactic. They were ordered to pay our client's legal fees, and additionally paid the entire $300,000 policy limit.
