Our client was a paid customer walking through a temporary Halloween haunted house when her leg fell into an open hole in the floor in one of the displays set up in a trailer. Discovery in the lawsuit revealed that the haunted house company was aware of the hole and tried to cover it up with a piece of plywood that was easily dislodged when customers walked through the display.
