Katie Brenny was hired by the University of Minnesota to serve as the associate head coach of its women’s golf program. After only a week on the job, Katie was prohibited by the Director of Golf from instructing the women golfers, traveling with the team to tournaments or even talking about golf technique. Instead, she was assigned a variety of menial tasks. Following the trial, the court concluded that Katie had been discriminated against based on her sexual orientation.
