Our clients, a husband and wife in their late sixties, were injured after a wheel came off of a driver’s pickup truck, after it had been negligently installed by a national tire company. The driver of the truck failed to remove his truck from the roadway or to turn on his hazard light. Our client, the following driver, had no notice that the truck was not moving with the speed of traffic and hit the back of the truck at nearly 70 mph. Substantial and lift-threatening injuries resulted from this crash, leaving permanent injuries requiring future surgery.
