Case Details

Client was a full-time resident of a local resident facility that treats children with various behavioral problems. The staff instructed the residents to run in the dark from the gymnasium to the resident’s cottage. There were no lights in this area of the campus and the staff were following the boys in their personal vehicle “to light the roadway”. During the jog back to the cottage, our client had fell down and sustained a fractured foot requiring surgery after his foot fell in a pothole on the roadway. Discovery revealed multiple violations with the handling of the resident by staff workers.
