Monica represented a flooring installer who was driving a pickup truck on Interstate 635 in Dallas County with a fellow construction worker. A tractor-trailer rear-ended another car and triggered a multi-car pile up. Although the property damage was minimal, each of her clients sustained injuries to his neck and back as well as a wrist injury. The insurer refused to pay, instead saying that her clients were previously injured and not believable witnesses, and only offered a $1,000 to settle the case. Monica rejected the offer and went to trial, where a jury awarded her clients for medical expenses plus damages for pain & suffering.
