Client was struck by a school bus, suffering serious head and brain injuries, rib and back fractures, partially collapsed lung, internal bleeding, severe facial and neck lacerations (requiring stitches and resulting in permanent scarring), post-traumatic amnesia, post-concussion syndrome, adjustment disorder with depression, decreased awareness of neuropsychological deficits, required feeding tube for three weeks, multiple blood transfusions, and dense foreign bodies in left elbow. Defendant heavily disputed responsibility, bus driver was speeding and ran a red light.
